Manufacturing and Quality Control in the Production of Therapeutic Cannabis Oil for Human Use

Botany:The genus Cannabis

It is an herbaceous species of the Cannabaceae family. Annual plant, dioecious, (male and female flowers are found on different plants) native to the Himalayan mountain ranges.
It is monospecific (Sativa) with 4 subspecies: Sativa; Indica, Ruderalis, Spontaneous. The plant possesses 2 active principles, THC, and Cannabinoids CBD, CBG, CBN. in a number of 100, Cannabinoids, because they are inside the plant are called Phytocannabinoids. 4 Cannabinoids stand out (abundance and effects): THC, CBD, CBC and CBN. While the first three are synthesized thanks to enzymes from the CBG, the last one is obtained thanks to a process of degradation of the THC itself.
Human cells have specific sites where these cannabinoids are attached. The receptors for these cannabinoids are called CB1 and CB2, and are distributed throughout the body, especially in the CNS. .
The human body produces molecules similar to those of the plant: endocannabinoids.

SATIVA OR INDICA Which one do I choose?
-SATIVA
Euphoriant effects best during the day, when it is desirable to stay awake. Cerebral, or ‘high’ effect, experienced by both mind and body. These varieties are effective for the treatment of nausea (e.g., caused by chemotherapy or HIV/AIDS medication), appetite stimulation, treatment of migraine, depression, chronic pain and similar symptoms.
-INDICA
Relaxing effects of the indica variants often makes them more suitable for consumption in the afternoon and evening. This sensation tends to focus on the body, which relaxes while reducing muscle tension. Indica varieties are most effective for treating muscle spasms and tremors (e.g., those caused by multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease), chronic pain, fibromyalgia, ALS, arthritic and rheumatic-type stiffness and swelling, insomnia, anxiety and related disorders.

Hemp and Cannabis are the same plant?
What are the differences?
Both are varieties of the sativa species.
Hemp does not possess cannabinoids with psychoactive activity while cannabis does.
Hemp grown for fiber, food and energy is up to 4 meters tall and has very little lateral branching. Hemp grown for seed is smaller in stature with a thick stalk and abundant lateral branching. Cannabis, grown exclusively for the unpollinated female flowers that contain the psychoactive substances known as cannabinoids, is less than 2 meters or only 50cm.
